TIP #1: SPRAY ON PULSE POINTS
Want to make perfume last longer? Apply it to your pulse points! Pulse points like wrists, inside the elbow, behind the knees, and necks are warmer spots on the body. When applied to these points where blood flows, they help naturally circulate the fragrance into the air to stay with you throughout the day and night.
TIP #2: DON’T SPRAY ON HANDS (& MORE)
Although pulse points are a welcoming place for perfume, hands are a different story. Perfume on hands can lead to dry skin, not to mention easy access to your eyes, which can lead to eye irritation. In addition to hands, refrain from spraying perfume on lips, armpits, eyes, or near private sensitive areas. Also, pause before spraying perfume in your hair, as many perfumes can dry and damage your locks. Use a hair mist instead that evokes or compliments your perfume instead.
TIP #3: REFRAIN FROM RUBBING
If you feel the urge to rub your wrists together after spritzing on your perfume, don’t! Rubbing your perfume into your skin leads to evaporation which can immediately fade and dull the scent. Rubbing perfume also creates friction, allowing it to overly mingle with your skin’s natural oils, creating a distorted scent. For a fragrance payoff in beautiful full bloom, always dab, never rub in your perfume.
TIP #4: SPRAY ON CLOTHES
Spraying perfume directly onto skin will always give you the highest quality scent; however, it’s perfectly acceptable to spray perfume on clothes, too. Fabric (any except silk) will absorb perfume beautifully, keeping a lighter but still long-lasting rendition of your perfume surrounding you all day. TIP #5: STORE PROPERLY
Store your perfume in a cool, dark, dry place for optimum quality and degradation prevention. Humidity, direct sunlight, and changing temperatures can alter the shelf life of your perfume, so keeping perfume in your bathroom is not recommended. Closets, drawers, and dressers are ideal storage spots to help keep your perfume in perfect condition. Remember, cool, dark, and dry keep perfume integrity high!
TIP #6: APPLY POST-SHOWER
